ArchAltect – AI-Powered Roadmaps for Web Developers

Welcome to ArchAltect. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the ArchAltect web application and any related services provided by us. By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service.

1. Your Account and Responsibilities

To access ArchAltect, you must create an account. User authentication is handled by a third-party service, Clerk. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account information and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree not to share your account credentials with anyone.

2. Subscription and Payments

ArchAltect is a subscription-based service. All payments, billing, and subscription management are handled through a third-party service, Lemon Squeezy. By purchasing a subscription, you agree to Lemon Squeezy's terms and conditions.

Upgrades and Downgrades:

You may change your subscription plan at any time through the customer portal. Upgrades are typically effective immediately, while downgrades are scheduled to take effect at the beginning of your next billing cycle.

Cancellation:

You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation will take effect at the end of your current billing period. Upon cancellation, you will retain access to all projects you created while subscribed. You will not be able to create new projects until subscribed.

3. Intellectual Property and Content Ownership

You, the user, retain all ownership rights to the data and content you create using the ArchAltect service, including the AI-generated project roadmaps.

ArchAltect retains ownership of the ArchAltect platform, its AI models, and all related intellectual property. We may use anonymized and aggregated data from your usage to improve our AI models and service. This data will not include any personally identifiable information.

4. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to use the Service for any unlawful or prohibited activities, including but not limited to:

Violating any applicable laws or regulations.
Attempting to reverse engineer, decompile, or hack the Service.
Distributing malicious software.
Using the Service to generate or promote content that is illegal, harmful, harassing, or unethical.

5. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. ArchAltect disclaims all warranties, including but not limited to the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

6. Limitation of Liability

In no event shall ArchAltect be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly.

7. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Kenya, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

8. Changes to the Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Terms on this page. Your continued use of the Service after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
